3.4. Categories with fewer than 5 entries may be merged with the closest category at the Organiser's discretion. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued in such cases.
4.1. Where a category specifies a Badminton England (BE) grade or BBFUK rating, eligibility is determined as at the time of entry. Subsequent rating changes do not retroactively qualify or disqualify a Participant.
4.2. A player shall be ineligible for a Restricted category if any one of the following applies:
• They hold a BE grade higher than the stated cap (in any category, not just the category they are playing); or
• They hold a BBFUK rating higher than the stated cap; or
• They have represented any country at international level (junior or senior); or
• They have played at provincial or county level in the United Kingdom or elsewhere within the last five (5) years, regardless of their current rating status.
4.3. Players who have competed at a level above their current rating but no longer hold an active BE or BBFUK profile must declare this on entry and seek prior written approval from the Organiser. Failure to declare such history is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for disqualification under Section 6.
4.4. Open categories are open to players of all standards, including those above any Restricted threshold. The above restrictions do not apply to Open categories.
4.5. Players entering a Restricted category may also enter the equivalent Open category. Players only eligible for an Open category must not also enter a Restricted category.
4.6. Where the rating profile of either or both players falls into a higher classification than allowed, the player/pair will be assigned to the higher category. The Organiser's assessment of pair classification is final.
4.7. The Organiser's decision on classification and eligibility is final and binding.
5.1. To safeguard the integrity of the Championship, all entries are subject to the following mandatory information requirements. Entries that fail any of these checks will be rejected, suspended, or disqualified at the Organiser's discretion, with no refund.
5.2. Full Legal Name. Each Participant must provide their full legal name exactly as it appears on a current government-issued photo ID (passport, UK driving licence, or national ID card). Nicknames or partial names will not be accepted.
5.3. Date of Birth. U16 and Parent & Child entries may be subject to verification by passport, birth certificate, or other government-issued document.
5.4. Mobile Number. Each adult Participant must provide their own working UK mobile number. Third-party numbers are not acceptable. The Organiser will verify the number, as needed.
5.5. Email Address. Each Participant must provide their own monitored email address that is uniquely theirs. The same email address may not be used for multiple Participants. The Organiser will verify the address by confirmation link.
5.6. Badminton England Profile. Where a Participant declares a BE grade (whether or not entering a Restricted category), they must provide the full URL to their BE Tournament Software profile, or a dated screenshot of their grade taken at the time of entry. The Organiser will independently verify all declared grades against the official Badminton England database.
5.7. BBFUK Rating. Where a Participant declares a BBFUK rating, they must provide a dated screenshot of their grade, which the Organiser will verify against the BBFUK listing. Players unrated by BBFUK who wish to enter a BBFUK Restricted (Social) category require prior written approval from StriveX before entering.
5.8. Photo ID at Registration. All Participants playing a restricted category must present a valid government-issued photo ID at the venue on the day of the Championship. Players whose ID does not match their entry details will be denied participation.
5.9. Verification Window. The Organiser may carry out verification checks at any time between entry and the day of the Championship, including spot checks during play. Participants are required to cooperate with all reasonable verification requests.
6.1. By entering, each Participant warrants that all information provided — including names, contact details, date of birth, BE grade, BBFUK rating, competitive history, and partner details — is true, complete, and accurate.
6.2. The Organiser reserves the absolute right to:
• Reject any entry it considers incomplete, ambiguous, unverifiable, or suspected to contain false information;
• Disqualify a Participant at any stage — before, during, or after the Championship — if false, misleading, or incomplete information is identified;
• Reclassify a Participant into the correct category if their declared rating, history, or eligibility does not match the verified position;
• Withhold, withdraw, or reclaim any prize money, voucher, trophy, or medal awarded on the basis of false or misleading information;
• Bar the Participant (and, where applicable, their parent or guardian) from all future StriveX events for a minimum of 24 months.
6.3. False declarations relating to Badminton England grade, BBFUK rating, county or provincial play, international representation, age, or date of birth (in Junior categories) will be treated as fraudulent and may result in lifetime bans from all StriveX events.
6.4. The applicant submitting a doubles entry bears full responsibility for the accuracy of their partner's details and eligibility. If a partner is found to be ineligible, has provided false information, or has not consented to the entry, both members of the pair may be disqualified.
6.5. Where prize money has already been paid and the Organiser subsequently determines the Participant was ineligible, the full sum is repayable to the Organiser on demand. The Organiser reserves the right to recover such sums through any lawful means, including civil recovery.
7.2. All Junior entries must be submitted, signed, and consented to by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian assumes full responsibility for the accuracy of the entry and the conduct of the Junior Participant.
7.3. The parent or guardian must provide their own full name, mobile number, email address, and stated relationship to the Junior. These details will be the primary contact point for all Championship communications relating to the Junior.
7.4. Junior Participants must be accompanied at the venue by a responsible adult (parent, legal guardian, or designated chaperone aged 18 or over) for the entire duration of their attendance. Unaccompanied minors will not be admitted to play.
7.5. The Organiser operates a safeguarding policy in line with Badminton England guidance. Concerns may be raised with the designated Tournament Safeguarding Officer.
8.1. The Parent & Child Mixed Doubles category is open to a pair consisting of:
• A legal parent or court-appointed guardian; and
• Their child or ward.
8.2. The Organiser reserves the right to request documentary evidence of the parent–child or guardian–ward relationship (birth certificate, court order, or equivalent). Failure to provide such evidence on request is grounds for refusal of entry or disqualification.
8.3. All Junior safeguarding provisions in Section 7 apply equally to the child in this category.

• Singles: £50 per player, per category.
• Doubles: £60 per pair (£30 per player), per category.
9.3. An entry is only confirmed once full payment is received in cleared funds and entry details have been verified by the Organiser under Section 5. Unverified or unpaid entries are not held.
9.4. Category changes after an entry has been confirmed are not permitted save with the Organiser's prior written approval. Where approved, an £8 administrative fee applies and any difference in entry fee is non-refundable.
9.5. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or reallocate entries at its discretion, including for breaches of Sections 5, 6, 7, or 8.
10.1. All registration and entry fees are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

12.3. Breaks between matches may range between 60 and 90 minutes depending on draw progression. Participants are responsible for being available, present, and warmed up at their scheduled call time.
