1. ORGANISER
1.1. The StriveX Championship 2026 (“the Championship”) is organised and promoted by StriveX Community / StriveX Ventures Ltd (“the Organiser”).
2. EVENT DETAILS
2.1. The Championship will take place on:
2.1.1. Date: Sunday, 03 May 2026
2.1.2. Venue: Sports Dock, University of East London, London E16 2RD
2.1.3. Hours of Play: Approximately 8:00am – 8:00pm
2.2. The Organiser reserves the right to amend schedules, court allocations, and playing order as required. A full schedule will be communicated no later than 7 days prior to the event.
3. ELIGIBILITY & CATEGORIES
3.1. Players may enter a maximum of three (3) categories only.
3.2. The following categories will be held in 2026:
3.2.1. Men’s Singles – Open no restrictions
3.2.2. Men’s Doubles – Advanced
3.2.3. Men’s Doubles – Intermediate
3.2.4. Men’s Doubles – Social
3.3. No other categories will be offered for this Championship.
3.4. The applicant bears full responsibility for the accuracy of partner details and eligibility.
4. PLAYER CLASSIFICATION (MEN’S DOUBLES)
4.1. Intermediate players may enter both Intermediate and Advanced categories. Similarly, social players are welcome to also play in Intermediate & Advanced categories.
4.2. Advanced players may only enter the Advanced category and are strictly prohibited from entering the Intermediate category.
4.3. A player shall be classified as Advanced if:
4.3.1. They hold a Badminton England rating of A, B, C or D in any category;
OR
4.3.2. They have represented their country at any level or played at provincial / county level, regardless of rating status.
OR
4.3.3. Rated as A by BBFUK
4.4. A player shall be classified as Social if:
4.4.1. They only play casually & socially, and have not played competetive badminton.
OR
4.4.2. They are rated D by BBFUK, or rated C and partnering with a D rated player.
OR
4.4.3. They have obtained a prior approval by StriveX to participate in this category.
4.5. Players falling under competitive experience without a Badminton England profile must seek prior written approval from the Organiser before entering.
4.6. The Organiser’s decision on classification and eligibility is final and binding.
5. ENTRY PROCESS & DEADLINES
5.1. Entry places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
5.2. The Organiser reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or reallocate entries at its discretion.
6. ENTRY FEES — STRICT POLICY
6.1. All registration and entry fees are strictly NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
6.1.1. Injury or illness
6.1.2. Travel disruption
6.1.3. Withdrawal for personal reasons
6.1.4. Disqualification
6.2. Entry fees will be fully refunded only in the extremely unlikely event of Championship cancellation.
6.3. No credits, substitutions, or rollovers to future events will be permitted.
7. PARTNER CHANGES (DOUBLES)
7.1. Each participant may change their partner once only.
7.2. A mandatory £8 administrative fee applies per partner change.
7.3. Partner change requests must:
7.3.1. Be submitted in writing.
7.3.2. Be received at least 7 days before the event date.
7.4. No partner changes will be permitted within 7 days of the event under any circumstances.
7.5. Additional partner changes beyond the first will not be permitted.
8. MATCH FORMAT & SCHEDULING
8.1. Match formats:
8.1.1. Group Stage to Quarter-Finals: Single set to 21 points (with setting)
8.1.2. Semi-Finals & Finals: Best of three sets (with setting)
8.1.3. Third Place Matches: Single set to 21 points
8.2. The Organiser reserves the right to modify formats, scoring systems, or scheduling to ensure completion within the 12-hour event window.
8.3. Breaks between matches may range between 60–90 minutes depending on progression.
9. PRIZE MONEY & AWARDS
9.1. Prize money is determined by the number of entries per category and published in advance by the Organiser.
9.2. All prize distributions are final and subject to verification of eligibility and compliance.
9.3. The Organiser reserves the right to withhold or reallocate prizes in cases of:
9.3.1. Misrepresentation
9.3.2. Ineligibility
9.3.3. Disciplinary breaches
10. FREE £20 STRIVEX VOUCHER
10.1. Eligibility: All entries received on or before 25 February 2026
10.2. Each eligible player will receive one £20 StriveX voucher.
10.3. Conditions:
10.3.1. One voucher per player only
10.3.2. Redeemable on the event day only
10.3.3. Valid only for StriveX accessories (excluding shuttlecocks)
10.3.4. No minimum spends
10.3.5. No cash alternative
10.3.6. Unused value will not be carried forward
11. FREE £10 STRIVEX VOUCHER for BBFUK Members
11.1. Eligibility: All entries received by BBFUK members on or before 31 March 2026
11.2. Each eligible player will receive one £10 StriveX voucher.
11.3. Conditions:
11.3.1. One voucher per player only
11.3.2. Redeemable on the event day only
11.3.3. Valid only for StriveX accessories (excluding shuttlecocks)
11.3.4. No minimum spends
11.3.5. No cash alternative
11.3.6. Unused value will not be carried forward
12. MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHY & BROADCAST CONSENT
12.1. By entering the Championship, all participants give explicit, irrevocable consent to:
12.1.1. Photography
12.1.2. Videography
12.1.3. Audio recording
12.1.4. Live and delayed broadcasting
12.2. The Organiser retains full and exclusive rights to:
12.2.1. Use, edit, reproduce, publish, distribute, and license such content
12.2.2. For marketing, promotional, commercial, archival, and social media purposes
12.2.3. Worldwide, in perpetuity, without restriction
12.3. No compensation, royalties, or approvals shall be required from participants.
12.4. This consent is granted in accordance with applicable UK data protection and media laws.
13. PLAYER CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE
13.1. All participants are expected to demonstrate sportsmanship, respect, and fair play at all times. Offensive, abusive, unsafe, or unsporting behaviour may result in immediate disqualification without refund. The Tournament Referee’s decision is final in all matters relating to match play, discipline, safety, and tournament operations.
13.2. The Organiser reserves the right to:
13.2.1. Issue warnings
13.2.2. Deduct points
13.2.3. Disqualify players
13.2.4. Remove individuals from the venue
13.2.5. For misconduct, abuse, cheating, or unsporting behaviour
14. MEDICAL & LIABILITY
14.1. Participation is entirely at the player’s own risk.
14.2. Players confirm they are medically fit to compete.
14.3. The Organiser accepts no liability for:
14.3.1. Injury
14.3.2. Illness
14.3.3. Loss or damage to personal property
14.3.4. Except where required by UK law
15. FORCE MAJEURE
15.1. The Organiser shall not be liable for cancellation, delay, or modification caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, venue issues, government restrictions, or emergencies. Entry fees remain non-refundable.
16. DATA PROTECTION
16.1. Personal data will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and used solely for tournament administration, communications, and lawful promotional purposes.
16.2. The applicant confirms they have obtained explicit consent from their partner to:
16.2.1. Share personal details
16.2.2. Receive event-related emails
17. FINAL AUTHORITY
17.1. The Organiser’s decisions on all matters relating to:
17.1.1. Eligibility
17.1.2. Scheduling
17.1.3. Classification
17.1.4. Discipline
17.1.5. Interpretation of these Terms shall be final and binding.
17.2. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
